The Purpose

This is the fanlisting collective of all the anime and manga related fanlistings (approved by The Anime Fanlistings Network) that are run by me -- namely Selene la Luna of forsaken-faith.org. I decided to create this collective when The Anime Fanlistings Network officially branched off from the main fanlisting network, TheFanlistings.org.

That being said, I have two other fanlisting collectives. Grins and Lies is my main fanlisting collective and it's for all the fanlistings I run that are approved by TheFanlistings.org. The other is Painted Blind which holds all the fanlistings I run that are approved by other networks (such as The Taboo Fanlisting Network or The Namelistings Network) or that are completely unapproved.

The Site Name

The site name, like my other fanlisting collective titles, came from a line in a poem. This one is from Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven:

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore --
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door."

The Layouts/Skins

The site is skinned, so there are two different layout choices at present:

v.1: beach blossom, which features the characters Akai Ringo, Momomiya Ichigo, Aizawa Minto, Fujiwara Zakuro, Fon Purin and Midorikawa Retasu from the anime Tokyo Mew Mew. The original image used came from Random.

v.2: mirror bound, which features the characters Chii (Elda) and Dark Chii (Freiya) from the manga Chobits. The original image used came from Cartoon Party.

The Credits

The graphics were all done by Selene la Luna. The script used to manage the collective is Flinx Collective 1.0 Copyright 2003 Sasha & Bonnie. All rights reserved. The skinning of the site was made possible with Angela's wonderful script phpSiteSkin.
